| IT'S ALL
ABOUT HAVING A BIT OF FUN AND NOT
TAKING YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY
"Pirate Club" is an initiative
of the Gold Coast City marina in an effort to bring together
influential people relating to all aspects of the marine
and boating industry.
Club president Dean Leigh-Smith
believes that a group like this is crutial to the growth
of the Marine industry. "Pirate Club is all about
working together and not against each other. Building positive
working relationships with others in the industry is especially
important in the current global climate."
Club members include industry leaders
in boat building, maintenance, boat sales and media representatives.
- The first rule about Pirate Club...
You must not talk about Pirate Club.
- The second rule about Pirate
Club... You must not talk about Pirate Club.
- You don't say anything because
pirate club exists only in the hours between when pirate
club starts and when pirate club ends.
- ... that's the third rule of
pirate club, when someone says stop or goes limp, even if
he's just faking it, the night is over.
- Only two guys to a fight. One
drink at a time. They drink without shirts or shoes. The
drinks go on as long as they have to. Those are the other
rules of pirate club.
